Obituary of Margaret Garrett Goodson

Margaret Garrett Goodson April 10, 1917 - September 05, 2012 Margaret Garrett Goodson, 95, of Beach City passed away on September 5th, 2012. She was born in Oklahoma on April 10th 1917. Margaret worked in Baytown at Henke and Pillot and enjoyed several years of employment at Tri City Beach Grocery. One of her favorite things to do was be a loving mother to her two sons, Morris and Earl and a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother to her family. She loved playing bingo at the V.F.W. in Baytown and made several wonderful friends along the way. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws Morris and Sharon Shanks of Moss Bluff, Earl and Clairise Shanks of La Porte, grandchildren Margaret Parliament and husband Phillip of Brock, Texas, Mark Shanks and wife Tina of Montgomery, Texas, Jason Shanks and wife Yanette of Buda, Texas, Renee McCleskey and husband Wes, Ron Shanks and wife Carline, great grandchildren Paige and Paxton Parliament, Lauren, Brenna, and Kinsey Shanks, Kimberly Shanks, C.J. Shanks, and Jessica Dlouhy. There will be a 2:00 PM Graveside Service at Cedarcrest September 7th, 2012.
