Our condolence and sympathy is extended to "Jo's" family and friends. As librarian for La porte for so many years she contributed to our area's well being through her assistance to residents and students of La porte whether it was their reading choices or research of
different types.
I was fortunate enough to work under the guidance of Betty "Jo" Hofstetter for 10 years in the LaPorte Library and will always remember all the good times and the many things I learned from her. She was a grand lady and the best librarian I've ever met. I still work in a public library in my area and give credit to "Jo" for everything I've accomplished.
I'm sorry to hear of her passing and want the family to know she was loved my the community and by me. I'll always remember her.
