Obituary of Donald Lee Jones

Donald Lee Jones June 29, 1933 - July 04, 2012 Donald Lee Jones, 78, of Columbus and formerly of La Porte, died on Wednesday July 4th, 2012. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Donald is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Ella Jones and his daughter Stacey Jones. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Laverne Jones, brother Ken and wife Diane and family, son Ralph and wife Karen, son Ken and wife Kathleen, daughter Donna, grandchildren Seth, Kristina, Stacey, Rebecca, Britt and wife Ann. Donald earned degrees from both Texas A&M University and the University of Houston and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a registered civil engineer and worked for Armco Steel and Baker Hughes as well as working as a consultant. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday July, 7th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home 201 S. 3rd St. La Porte, TX 77571. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM with a graveside service to follow.
