Obituary of Vera Lucille Little

Vera Lucille Little April 13, 1926 - June 29, 2008 Vera Lucille Little (Cansler) was born on April 13, 1926 to Rollie and Rachel Cansler. She was born at home on Pine Prairie in Hunstville, TX. Vera died on June 29, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital, in Nassau Bay, TX. At the time of her death she was surrounded with family members by her side. She attended school on Pine Prairie in Hunstville, TX. Until she moved to Conroe, TX in 1938 and ended her school days there in 1938 as well. She resided in La Porte for 53 years where she loved gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her father Rollie Cansler, mother Rachel Cansler, brothers Delbert Cansler and Wendell Cansler, sisters Etta Kelley, Edith Smyrl, and JoAnn Parker. She is survived by daughter Brenda Charles and husband Sammy, Leslie Anderson and husband John, and son Roger Holton, all of La Porte, grandchildren Larry Charles, Tammy Charles, Shane Holton, Shannon Holton, Daniel Anderson, and Michael Anderson, and numerous great grandchildren all of La Porte. Visitation will be held Wednesday July 2, 2008 at 5-8 PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Thursday July 3, 2008 at 10 AM at the funeral home, with internment following at La Porte Cemetery.
