Obituary of Walter Felts

Walter Benjamin “Ben” Felts, 82 of Huxley, Texas, passed away at his daughter’s home on April 9, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Clara (White) Felts. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca Felts; sons, Ben Felts & his wife Margaret and David Felts & his wife Susan; daughter, Connie O’Day & her husband Mike; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Ben was born on September 20, 1927 in Prescott, Arkansas. He attended Toledo Bend Baptist Church pastored by Brother Jack Forbis. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and built a career owning and operating Ben Felts Utility Company. “Mr. Ben” was a man of great faith who was loved by all who knew him. His greatest joys were his family, friends, fishing, and hunting. A Memorial Service for Ben will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Toledo Bend Baptist Church, 2543 FM 3172, Shelbyville, Texas 75973.
