Esther Matysiak September 04, 1924 - July 18, 2016 Esther Elizabeth “Doll” Matysiak was born to Claire and Esther Rader on September 4th, 1924 in La Porte, Texas. Her family was one of the first families in La Porte, Texas. She was the youngest of four children. She is pre-deceased by Sister Evelyn Wherley and Brothers Herbert and Dick Rader. After graduating from La Porte High School, Doll worked at the La Porte State Bank. She married Louis “Shack “Matysiak on July 26, 1946. He passed away in 1999. Doll and Shack moved into a house on 4th St. built by her father. They remained there the rest of their lives. In 1960 she had a daughter Tammy Lynne Matysiak. She spent her entire life as a devoted homemaker and mother. She enjoyed entertaining friends and her children’s friends. She was known as “Mom” to many of them. Doll is survived by: Son Larry Matysiak, his wife Mary Matysiak, daughter Tammy Howard, grandchildren John Matysiak, his wife Michelle Matysiak, Laura Yoakum, her husband AJ Yoakum, and great grandchildren Mason Matysiak & Charlotte and Jamie Yoakum. The family would like to thank special angels Nancy and Leroy Merrick, Lisa and Hugo Martinez and the family of Annette Leach for all of their love and care. Pallbearers John Matysiak, AJ Yoakum, David Paulissen, Bill Chase, John Gamble and Rick Yancey. Visitation is Tuesday July 26, 2016 at 1pm with services starting at 2pm at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home. Internment immediately following at Grandview Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas.
