Obituary of Eldon Bunnell

Eldon Bunnell, age 71 of Houston, passed away on April 23, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Maybell (Parmer) Bunnell and brothers, Glen Bunnell and S.W. Bunnell. He is survived by his son, Royce Bunnell & his wife Mary; daughter, Diana Jeske & her husband David; sister, Vivian Corder; grandchildren, Drew, Dustin, Dane, & Diannah Jeske, and Chris and Kelsi Bunnell; and a host of many other family & friends. Eldon was born on July 27, 1938 in Gatesville, Texas and resided in the Houston area since 1963. He had a successful career with IBM for 25 years and was even an EMU Rancher for a short time. Eldon enjoyed fishing and found adventure in any outdoor excursion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was affectionately known to his grandchildren as “Pappy”. For most of his life, Eldon was blessed with good health but in 2001 began to have a few setbacks. He always maintained his love of life and was usually a spur of the moment person, up for anything at anytime. Eldon will always be remembered for his idea that, “More is better!” A visitation and graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Gatesville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Eldon’s honor to the Ladies Auxilliary VFW Post 581, 27 Farrell, Houston, TX 77022.
