Emma Louise Snider, age 84 of Pearland, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Mamie Long; and her husband, James (Jimmy) Snider. She is survived by her daughters, Carla Cheatwood & her husband Travis, and Sally Almond; twin sister, Lois Caldwell; brother Frank Long & his wife Delores; grandchildren, Christopher Almond, Cynthia Coronado & her husband Homer; and Mike Cheatwood & his wife, Yvette; great grandchildren, Nathan & Jared Coronado, Derek, Brooke, & Meghan Cheatwood; many nieces & nephews; and a host of many other family & friends.
Emma was born on May 20, 1924 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She married Jimmy in 1950 and they resided in the Texas panhandle town of Phillips for over 35 years. She loved sewing, doing crafts, fishing and camping.
The family wishes to thank the many nurses and staff of Harbor Hospice in Houston, Texas for their loving care of Emma during her illness.
Visitation for Emma will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home, 223 E. 6th, Pawhuska, Oklahoma 74056, 918-287-2297 with a graveside service beginning at 2:00 pm Pawhuska Cemetery.
