Estyle Eugene Nees
March 25, 1930 - March 24, 2018
Estyle (Gene) Nees, beloved husband and father, quietly left his earthly body at Kindred Hospital while surrounded by loving family on March 24th. Born March 25th, 1930 to Maurice and Violet in Brazil, Indiana, Estyle is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years Phyllis, his sister Evelyn, son David, daughter Cheryl, daughter-in-laws Linda and Jackie, his grandchildren Steven and Sarah, his great-grandchildren Hunter and Sierra, the many members of their families and family friends. He was met in heaven by his parents and sons Stephen and Michael. Estyle was a military veteran of our Air Force, serving for 9 years which included the period of the Korean War. Estyle had a deep appreciation of mechanical devices, working on small machinery for the Air Force and later helping to start two small businesses in predictive machinery maintenance, his first Vibranalysis where he was Vice President. He founded his second business, Mechanical Prescriptions, and as President, he ran it with his wife until he retired. After retiring, Estyle was a founding member of the Red-Suspenders Society that has run a very successful program to raise money for the Special Olympics, an accomplishment in which he felt great pride. Having grown up as an outdoorsman on a farm, Estyle enjoyed going on camping and fishing trips with his family as his children grew-up. His family will remember him as a spiritual soul and story teller. In the stories he told of his times, he radiated his interest and love. His family will have a life celebration for Estyle on April 14th at Paul U Lee funeral home in La Porte, TX at 2:00-4:00pm
