Obituary of Mary June Nobles

Mary June Nobles June 08, 1928 - July 23, 2011 Mary June (Woodworth) Nobles went to be with the Lord July 23, 2011 at the age of 83. Known to her many Friends and family as June, she was born in Kosse Tx. and later moved to Houston where she met her husband of 51 years, Curtis R Nobles and they raised their family. Preceded in death by Curt, she is survived by her 3 children, son - George Nobles and wife Pam, and daughters, Deborah Bunn and Edna Kennedy; 3 grandsons- Curtis, Bryan and Cameron to whom she was Granny and 2 great-grandchildren - Everett and Abigail to whom she was Gigi. She and Curt retired to Thornton TX in 1981 and were crowned Mr. & Mrs. Thornton for the Thornton Homecoming 2003. She was devoted to her family, friends and the Methodist church having been a long time member of Park Place UMC, Houston and then at Thornton UMC. She was also a wonderful cook and baker having won numerous ribbons and trophies for her pies. Burial will be Monday July 25, 2011, 10:00AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Houston.
