Obituary of John Wesley Parker

John Wesley Parker, Jr March 06, 1933 - November 14, 2015 John Wesley Parker, Jr. passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn of 58 years; his parents, Juliette and John Parker; and his sister, Mary Hutton. John is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Dick Ehmke, his eight children and their spouses, Carol and Alan Buttler, John and Kitty Parker, Jamie French and Donnie Creel, Mark and Donna Parker, Bob and Carla Parker, Teresa and George Damm, Michelle and Rob Roy, Mary and David Chovanec, along with 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. John was born March 6, 1933, in Salida, Colorado and graduated from Salida High School. He then went on to graduate from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Chemical Engineering, retiring after 42 years as a Chemical Engineer. In lieu of a funeral service, the family will plan a memorial at a later date.
