Robert Lee Biaza June 26, 1929 - July 16, 2010 Robert Lee Biaza, known by many as Bob, passed away July 16, 2010, in Baytown. Robert was born June 26, 1929, in Sabastain Fla. He moved to La Porte during his high school years, and La Porte remained his home for the next 58 years until hurricane Ike forced him to relocate to Baytown. Robert served in the U.S Navy from 1948-1952 and worked at Rohm & Haas as an operator for 42 years. He had many business interests in La Porte, Morgan’s Point and Seabrook, such as Bob’s Ice House, and he co-owned and built The Point and La Porte Super Food Center. Being an avid sports fan he enjoyed any sport ending with the word ball in it and loved horse racing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carrie Biaza, his son, Robin, and daughter-in law, Peggy. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Minnie Biaza; sons, Raymond, Richard and wife, Shirley, Ronald and wife, Merry Robin; daughter-in-law, Brenda; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind a sister, Margaret, and her husband, Don Longenberger, and Aunt Thelma Yarbrough. Robert has a large extended family and many friends including close friends Dan French and Hoppie Wakefield. Visitation will be held Tuesday July 20, 2010 at 6-8PM. Services will be held at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at La Porte Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Brown, Mike Brown, Joe D. Burton, David McCorquodale, David Waters and Tracy Windsor.
