We considered Gary & Eleanor our good friends and neighbors all the many years we lived in Morgan's Point. We always felt so welcome in their home. Christmas at the Morgan's Point City Hall will always be one of our cherished memories because these two made it wonderful for everyone, especially the children. We felt as if the Perry's considered us our friends too and they are greatly missed.

My family is blessed to have had Gary and Eleanor as neighbors and friends growing up on Ledger Lane. They were both always there to lend a hand, once my baby brother was admitted to Texas Children's and we had no family in Houston. Gary and Eleanor took care of my other brother and me for over a week while my parents were at the hospital with the baby. They refused even to take money for milk. All the children on Ledger and Kitty were always welcome in their home. What good times we all had there. Eleanor would even pay us to ride with her to Sheffield to pick Gary up from work! My life has been blessed by Gary and Eleanor Perry and I thank God for them often.
Rest in Peace Gary.

Uncle Gary:
You were always such an enigma to me growing up. You were both quiet and well-spoken, one of the true representatives of your fine generation. To me, you embodied strength and wisdom and power, and when you left us, it created a gap that will never be filled. To hear your stories of World War II, faraway lands, riding motorcycles down the Gulf Coast, and tales of days past was always such a delight.
I grew up down the street from you on Vinsonia, and you raised my best friend Chris, along with your fine wife Eleanor, who we all called "Auntie." I always looked up to you, as so many others did, and I will never forget you.
Rest in Peace, Uncle Gary.
