Obituary of Barbara Ann Wiginton

Barbara Ann Wiginton, a resident of Pearland, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in a Houston hospital at the age of 64 years. Barbara was born October 10, 1942 in Fulton County, Georgia to John Arnold and Yvonne (Grogan) Cox. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ of Pasadena. Barbara was an administrative assistant with Perry Homes and she worked and volunteered with Shadycrest Elementary School in Pearland. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, John Arnold Cox and is survived by a loving family; her husband, Mark; daughter, Mechelle Williams and her husband, Gregory, of Pearland; son, Scott Wiginton and his wife, Amy, of Tomball; mother, Yvonne Cox, of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Bobby Cox and his wife, Jean and J. A. Cox, all of Birmingham, AL; sister, Betty Allen, of Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren, Reagan Wiginton, Micah Williams, Logan Wiginton, Aaron Williams and Sage Wiginton; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 16, 2007, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, in Pearland. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, March 17, 2007, in the Chapel of Clayton Funeral Home with Dee Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery, in Pearland. Those serving as pallbearers are; Glenn Bollman, Doug Donahoe, Eddie Farquhar, Dewayne Lovinggood, Erik Phelps, Charlie Summers, Bruce Turner and Victor White.
