Harry Delton Haun, a resident of Deer Park, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2007 at his home and surrounded by his loving family. Delton was born April 27, 1924 in Catawaba, West Virginia to the late Harry Dale and Mattie Nola (Kisner) Haun. A gospel preacher since the age of 15, Delton was a member of the Church of Christ. He owned and operated a nationwide publishing company of gospel tracts.
Delton is preceded in death by his parents, as well as three brothers, Kenneth Haun, Edward Haun and Carlton Haun. He is survived by a loving family; his beloved wife of 62 years, Rose Ann (Rideout) Haun; three children, Andra Ramsey and her husband, Dwight Allen, of Pearland, Glenda Stansell, of Pasadena and Denver Allen Haun and his wife, Sheila, of La Porte; three sisters, Madeline Daniels, of Oregon, Juanita Richmond, of Santa Maria, California and Stella Rideout, of Abilene; ten grandchildren, Jill Ann Glasgow and her husband, Kirk Owen, Julie Marie Allen and her husband, Robert Joseph, Jamee Jeannine Hasty, Jason Delton Stansell and his wife, Maria Louise, Heather April Morrison and her husband, James Keith, Melanie Brook Stansell, Taylor Gray Stansell and his wife, Holly Ann, Chelsea Rose Stansell, Starr Tabitha Haun and Holly Alena Haun; ten great grandchildren, Justen Michael Ramsey, Jennifer Jeannine Glasgow, Austin Evan Glasgow, Jordan Ramsey Allen, Kaitlin Brooke Allen, Kaila Denay Hasty, Amanda Nicole Hasty, Richard Ryan Hasty, Ashlyn Riley Stansell and Layton Wyatt Stansell; great-great granddaughter, Autumn Elise Ramsey; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2007, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway in Pearland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at the Pearland Church of Christ, 2217 N. Grand Blvd. in Pearland, with Robert Farrar and Howard Mahle officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland. Those serving as pallbearers are; Denver Alan Haun, Jason Delton Stansell, Kirk Owen Glasgow, Dwight Allen Ramsey, Taylor Gray Stansell and Justen Michael Ramsey.
