Verna Jean Shook November 07, 1950 - October 11, 2011 Verna Jean Shook, 60, of La Porte, Texas passed away October 11th, 2011. She was born in Batesville, Arkansas on November 7th, 1950 to Carl Vernon And Ethel Mae Cunningham. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Dirk Wade Cunningham. She is survived by her husband Rickie Eugene Shook, sons Rickie Daniel Shook, Daniel Bryan Shook and wife Jennifer, father and mother-in-law Bryan and Cletus Shook of Stanton, Michigan, sisters Shirley Duers of North Carolina, Eva West of La Porte, Texas, Sharon Tallady of La Porte, Texas, nieces Angela Cox and husband Bobby of Dayton, Texas, Brandi, Candace, and Jessica Tallady of La Porte, Texas, nephew Michael Witherell and Wife Jaquita of Henrietta, Texas, grandchildren Ashlyn Shook, Bryce Shook, Kaillyn Shook, all of La Porte, Texas, great nieces and nephews Alyssa Cox of Dayton, Texas, Hunter Witherell of Firestone, Colorado, and Nolan Cox of Dayton, Texas. Visitation will be on Friday October 14th, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and services will be Saturday October 15th, 2011 at 10:00 Am at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home.
