Obituary of Doyle Tarver

Doyle Tarver, age 90, of Houston, passed away on December 12, 2007. He is survived by his daughters Darlene Shannon, Jane Claflin, and Jeanette Lowe; one brother, Denver Tarver and his wife Beverly; eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Doyle was born in Bonham, Texas and spent the last 40 years in the Houston area. He was fond of music and very talented playing the harmonica and keyboard. A favorite hobby of his was buying, fixing and re-selling old cars. He also remodeled trailers and could repair just about anything. Doyle was a member of the Elks Lodge of Pasadena and was a Master Plumber and member of the Plumbers Union. He enjoyed spending time at Paul’s Ice House on Telephone Road in Houston. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held in Doyle’s honor at 1:30 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Houston National Cemetery.
