Obituary of Dennie Teer

Dennie Jefferson “Jeff” Teer Jr., age 68 of Pearland, passed away on June 7, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennie Teer & Mary Ellen (Ames) McCluskey; survived by his wife, Patricia (Johnson) Teer; sons, Dennie Teer III and Troy Allan Teer; daughter, Angela Kamman & her husband Bill; daughter-in-law, Belinda Dowd & her husband Wes; grandchildren, Lauren, Bailey, Nicole & Ian Teer, and Ramsey, Finley, and Beckett Kamman; and a host of many other family & friends. Jeff was born on October 6, 1941 in Houston, Texas and resided here his entire life. He was a pipefitter for the Local Union 211 for 25 years. A true do-it-yourselfer, Jeff could build anything mechanical, fix anything electrical, and was also an excellent auto paint/body specialist. He taught his sons many skills and repaired his daughter’s car frequently. Jeff and Pat were married for 45 years and enjoyed raising their family, hosting family gatherings, and even becoming “surrogate” parents to many other children. He was also an animal lover, especially cats and dogs. To his grandkids, Jeff was affectionately known as “Paw Paw”. Jeff was very opinionated and strived to be right! He always made sure you knew where you stood with him. A Memorial Service for Jeff will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the Clayton Chapel.
