Obituary of Muriel Guthier

Muriel Guthier, age 78, passed away on January 7, 2008. She is preceded in death by parents, James and Eunice Miller Cahal; and one sister, Lois Cryer. She is survived by her son Tom Guthier; daughter Pam Dupuis; and an adopted son, Robbie Baluta; sister Margie Jones; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Muriel lived for over 20 years in Pearland, originally coming from Beaumont, Texas. She was a member of New Life Lutheran Church. Muriel worked for 25 years as an insurance agent for Allstate Insurance Company. One of her favorite pastimes was talking on the phone to all of her family and friends. She enjoyed washing, cleaning and doing for others. Muriel loved going to the bay house, spending time with her family, fishing, and watching the sunset. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas, 281-485-4446. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 2 pm, at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating is Pastor Douglas Guthier and Pastor Brian Gigee. Interment will follow at Southpark Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
