Obituary of Charlie Doug Boyle

Charlie Doug Boyle October 29, 1929 - September 06, 2010 Charlie Doug Boyle, 80, of La Porte passed away Monday September 6, 2010. He was born October 29, 1929 in Houston, Texas to Charlotte McDougal and Frank Boyle, Sr. Charlie Doug owned Boyle Realty with his father and brother, and later opened BAK Furniture Refinishing. He was a past president of La Porte Rotary Club and had 30 years perfect attendance, a retired La Porte volunteer Fireman, on La Porte City Council for 4 terms, Board of Directors for La Porte Cemetery, along with several other City of La Porte committees and volunteer work. He also volunteered for the American Legion and Boys and Girls State. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Frank Boyle, Jr. Charlie Doug is survived by his wife Laura Boyle, mother in law Mabel Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday September 9, 2010 at 5-7PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Friday September 10, 2010 at 11AM at La Porte Community Church, with interment following at La Porte Cemetery.
