I met Allyne in 1982 when I presented my first child, Rachel to her in the Mobberly Baptist Church nursery. Within a few weeks she found Rachel’s grandparent were deceased and she took her in as her own. Allyne went on to include my second daughter Kristen as her granddaughter. The days before Kristen was born Allyne insisted that I stay at her house as she lived closer to the hospital and I was way over due! She cared for our daughters as her own. She and Clyde drew our small family in and Clyde even told me if anyone asks, you are my daughter! So from that very moment they were our family and we were theirs. Sharing many meals at their house and ours. She made the girls cloths and even sewed my dress for my graduation from Kilgore college in 1992. My first tailor made dress as an adult. Our little family loved the Burnleys as they so loved us. We were there adopted family and they were ours. We will miss her love and attention every day.
