Obituary of Darlene Goodwin Koster

Darlene Goodwin Koster, 65, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Carey and Ila Mae Goodwin; and brother, Charles Ray Goodwin.  Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Koster, Chris Koster; daughters Courtney Koster, Morgan Koster; brothers, albert Goodwin and wife, Adonna, Terry Goodwin and wife, Elaine; sister, Christene Levigne and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Jared Kendrick, Taylor Koster, Riley Koster, Cayden Koster, Rocco Parisi and Gavin Yeatts; Darlene’s very close cousin, Kerry Mohammadian and husband, Kevin, Lula Mae “Peanut” Smith, dearest friend in Christ, Jean Garret; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Darlene was strong in her faith and loved the Lord.  She made the most out of every situation and faced every challenge head on.  Darlene was a warrior through her illness and showed the true meaning of grace along the way.  She epitomized unconditional love and always looked for ways to help others in need.  Darlene has an amazing sense of humor and was very wise.  She lit up every room she entered and managed to always reassure and comfort those around her.  Darlene was the children and grandchildren’s best friend, biggest fan and trusted confidant.  Her memory will live on in the minds of her family and her love will beat in the hearts of everyone she touched throughout her life.

Services for Darlene will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am with he funeral service following at 11:00 am with Pastor David Goran officiating.  Interment will take place at 2:00 pm at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Trinity, Texas.
