Obituary of Edwin A. Joseph
Edwin Agustus Joseph was born in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala to Charles Agustus Joseph and Emma Reneau and raised in British Honduras (Belize).
At a very young age, Edwin accepted Christ into his life and spoke of wonderful memories of attending church with his grandmother Elizabeth Reneau. Edwin lived with his family in Central America until deciding to move to the United States of America. He often shared fond memoires of Puerto Barrios, Guatemala and British Honduras/Belize, Central America.
Edwin joined the United States army and fought in the Korean War. After being discharged from the Army, he then joined the United States Air Force and was proud to be called an Airman.
Edwin Joseph later met and married Irma Jean Minix and to this union, two daughters were born: Elaine Marie Joseph and Helen Elizabeth Joseph.
Edwin was preceded din death in death by his parents Charles and Emma, brothers Leonard, Clarence, Hugh and sisters Helen and Elswit.
Edwin leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: two daughters, Helen Elizabeth Long and Eliane Marie Mumphord (Curtis), six grandchildren: Nicole McGee, Dewayne Long, Dwan Long Valentine (Juan), Jaylan Jones, Brian Mumphord and Erin Mumphord – 6 great grandchildren: Bryce, Alysia, Jacob, Owen, Emmanuel, Aiden and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation for Edwin will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. A graveside service with military honors will take place Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:15 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
