So sorry to hear the news, and sorry I can’t make it. I always enjoyed working with Jennie. She was always upbeat and a great performer with whom to share a stage.

Jennie and I only got to know each other while waiting for auditions, usually up for the same role. But I could see the funny and easy to be with spirit in her. Watching her on stage, I always admired her beautiful voice, and her comic timing. She was a true talent. John, I hope you will have loved ones around you as you head forward and know that Jen is at peace but her energy is still with us.

I will always be in awe of Jennie’s vivacity, flirtaceousness, and general love of everything she pursued. I, too, can testify to her talents from a young age, having been subjected to the 8mm movies of all her recitals from an early age in the Welch basement in Champaign. She will be dearly missed, but will remain alive in our thoughts and memories of her.
Know that you all remain in my thoughts and prayers… Love, Hal

I met Jennie when I was a bright eyed kid new to the theater community. I remember her being warm and sassy and fabulous! I had the pleasure of working with her several times throughout the years, and always enjoyed her talent, her quirky sense of humour, and her wonderful laugh. She will be dearly missed.

So stunned and saddened to hear of Jenny’s passing. I always deeply admired her great comic style on a stage and was thrilled when I heard I’d get to work with her back in ’04 in “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at Stages. She was very gifted. A huge loss. My condolences to you, John as well as her family.

John, I can’t tell you how sorry (and shocked) I am to hear about Jennie. It’s still hard to imagine that she is no longer here. My heart goes out to you and your family. I have so many memories of Jennie…each funnier than the last. She brought so much joy to all who knew her and who had the honor of working with her. Her beautiful dimples will forever be ingrained in my head. You both were a part of my life for many years. All my love….

I have a lot of wonderful memories of growing up with my sophisticated Texas cousin Jennie. This meek little Oklahoma relative was always so in awe of Jennie and her family, and Jennie showed her star qualities from as far back as I can remember! My love to Jennie and her family, especially Patti, Katye and Mike. She will be missed so much, and remembered so fondly.

Hi
I’m so saddened to hear about Jennie. I went to Bellaire High with her, and even tho I haven’t seen her since then, I remember her so well. She was a wonderful person to be around ….. so funny and witty. I always wished I could be more like her. We always got a good laugh when she told people she lived on Grape Street. When I saw her picture in the paper I knew it was her without even looking at the name; she was so beautiful and looked much the same as she did in high school.
I was wondering what took her life so unexpectedly?
She is in my prayers.

How can you possibly describe her? Warm, funny, original, strong…. a woman that followed whatever she dreamed with no fear. She could make a color brighter just by wearing it. Rest in peace, Aunt Jennie. Thank you for making the colors brighter for me. You will never be forgotten.
