Obituary of Julia Catherine Dautriel

Julia Catherine (Green) Dautriel, 89, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019.  She was born in Morgan’s Point, Texas on August 4, 1929 to Julia and Nicholas Green Sr.  Julia married the love of her life, John Louis Dautriel, on July 9, 1955 and made their home in La Porte, Texas.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Johnny, sister, Jessie Mae Dever and husband, Daniel; brothers, Nicholas Green Jr., and Victor Green; nieces Linda La Fosse, Laura Doerr, and Kerri Rogers; and nephew, Chris Green.  She is survived by nieces, Nancy Webb, Amanda Harvey, Robbie Headrick, Jane Beach-Martin, Grace Holder and Angela Green; nephews, Danny Dever, Jerry Green, Mike Green, John Green and Pat Green, B.J. Headrick, Barry Headrick, Gary Headrick, and David Beach Jr.  Julia is also survived by sisters-in-law, Dorothy Headrick, Sydney Beach and Opal Green; great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and dear friends, including her special friend who Julia referred to as “the daughter she never had”, Monica Boudreaux.

Julia worked at Sander’s Grocery Store in Morgan’s point in the early 1950’s.  She started working at La Porte State Bank in 1957 and worked there at different times for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1985.

Julia was a generous and faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, working as a “money counter” and generously donating her time and energy every week in the Adoration Chapel.

Services for Julia will be held at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 816 Park Dr., La Porte, Texas 77571.  The visitation and rosary will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm.  The funeral mass will take place Friday, March 8, 2019 at 12:00 noon with Father Tony Castro officiating.  Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas.
