Obituary of Michael Lynn McCluskey

Michael Lynn McCluskey, 65, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Gloria McCluskey; sons, Scott W. McCluskey, Michael E. McCluskey; and daughter, Brenda McCluskey.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 13 years, Kathy McCluskey; sons, Bryan McCluskey, Matthew McCluskey; daughters, Linda McCraw, Jessica Elzy, Melissa Nunuz; brother, David McCluskey and wife, Charlotte; sisters, Carolyn McCluskey, Barbara Earnest and husband, Jimmy; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Michael was an excellent provider for his family; working for over 40 years as a truck driver, driving from one end of the country to the other.  He traveled over three million miles during his career and loved every moment of it. Michael was a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic. Watching television and spending time with his family were his favorite pastimes. Family meant everything to Michael. He had a special bond with his granddaughter, TK, and just a phone call away whenever anyone in the family needed him, whether he was here in Texas or over in Alabama. Michael will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.      

Services for Michael will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 South 3^rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571.  The visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and the funeral service will take place at 7:00 pm with Rev. Brian Christen officiating.
