Obituary of Ernestine Williams Neal

Ernestine Williams Neal, 86, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Curtis Neal; her parents, Ernest and Florence Williams; brothers, Ernest Williams Jr. and Billy Williams.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patricia Rundell and husband, Dennis, Vickie Neal, Connie Watson, Rhonda Bridgewater and husband, Scott, Vanessa Johnson and husband, Raymond; brother, Patrick Williams; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of other family and dear friends.

Ernestine, affectionately known as “Me Maw” to her family, was known by most for her wicked sense of humor. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing; making clothes for her 5 girls at Easter time or for the new school year. She loved to square dance and was a wonderful cook, well known for her chicken and dumplings. Career oriented and hard-working, Ernestine became vice president of Stephen’s Carpet and kept her position for over 30 years. She was strong minded, but generous to her friends and family and passed these traits along to her daughters. Ernestine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Services for Ernestine will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will take place Monday, April 15, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.  The funeral service be held Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 10:00 am in the chapel.  Interment will take place at Houston National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10:00 am.
