Obituary of Billy Carl Robinson

Billy Carl Robinson, 84, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his father, James Carl Robinson, mother, Dorothy Covington Robinson, step-mother, Ruby Dockery Robinson, and brother, Jimmy Luther Robinson.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Melba Ruth Robinson; daughter, Cheryl Flores and husband, Joe; son, Edward Robinson and wife, Monique; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends.

Billy accepted Christ as Savior at the age of 12 in an old-fashioned revival.  This strong faith would carry with him throughout his life.  Billy was an excellent musician from junior high through college.  He was very proud of being selected to play in the Continental Army Command Band at Fort Monroe, Virginia. After the military, Billy went on to work for NASA as an Electronic and Graphics Technician, for over 33 years. He was an avid golfer, baseball coach and Sunday school teacher for young boys.  He served for many years as a deacon at two Baptist churches.  Billy’s passion was for knowing people and he loved everyone.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Billy will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The funeral service will take place Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10:00 am at Bay Area Church, 4800 W. Main Street, League City, Texas 77573.  Interment will be held Saturday, April 27 at 11:00 am at Dresden Cemetery in Dresden, Texas.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.claytonfuneralhomes.com.
