Obituary of Gerald Wayne Verret Jr.

Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Verret, Jr, 55, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. He is preceded in death by his mother, Diann Verret.  Left to cherish his memory are his father, Gerald Wayne Verret, Sr; spouse, Shanna Pitre; sons, Chris Martin, Kacey Verret; daughter, KayD Lewis and husband, James; brother, Ronnie Martin and wife, Tami; sister, Michelle Verret; grandchildren, Aubrey and Grayson; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Jerry enjoyed camping and floating the river at New Braunfels. He liked to spend time in the water on his boat. More than anything, Jerry loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's honor to the amercian Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.  A visitation and funeral service for Jerry will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 S. 3^rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571, on Saturday, April 27, 2019. The visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by the service starting at 10:00 am.
