Obituary of Gloria Ann Barbour

Gloria Ann Barbour, 85, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Helen Dearth; her loving husband, Jack R. Barbour; brother, Robert Dearth; and sister, Doris Pyle.  Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert “Bob” Barbour and wife, Margie, Ronald “Ron” Barbour and wife, Debbie; daughters, Kathleen Phillips and husband. Robert, Sharon Bell; sister, Betty Rockwell; grandchildren, Bobby, Christina, Brandon, Garrett, Jennifer, Kimberlee, Luke, Robert, Neal, Lee, Chad, Dusty, Jackie; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Gloria was a consistent, determined and strong-willed survivor. She enjoyed crafts such as ceramics, knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She loved the beach and spending time on the water. Gloria would always decorate for the holidays, always taking pride in her work. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Gloria will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm.  Interment will take place at a later time at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
