Obituary of Rosa Linda Smith

Rosa Linda Smith, 65, of Houston, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019. She is preceded in death by her father, Ricardo Mallett. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Rolando Cano; daughter, Patricia Ventura and husband, Jesus; brother, Ricky Mallett, Jr.; sisters, Norma Cantu, Rosalina Mallett, Rosanna Vasquez, Mary Mallett Castaneda and husband, Servando, Gloria Barrientes and husband, Edward; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Rosa was an extremely hard worker who didn’t miss a day of work at Walmart for over 20 years, not even for a doctor’s appointment. She was a people person, always happy, and greeted everyone with a smile on her face. Rosa enjoyed reading and loved her Coca-Cola. She was an amazing mother to her two children and always there to give her honest advice, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Rosa was a wonderful person and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service for Rosa will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at 1:00 pm, with Deacon Steve Griesmyer officiating.
