Obituary of Betty Jane Watson

Betty Jane Watson, 76, of Pearland, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Annie Huckabee, and brother, Charles Huckabee. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bryan Watson and wife, Melissa, Barry Watson and wife, Sheri; sisters, Shirley Bockart and husband, Dick; grandchildren, Jacob, Shelby, Lindsay, Cooper, and Mitchell; as well as a host of other family and dear friends.

Betty was a retired teacher of over 30 years and adored children. She enjoyed cooking for family events and spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren who call her “Nana”. Strong in her faith, Betty was a very loyal member at Friendswood Church of Christ. She would always help with events whenever she could, taught Sunday School, and was a part of the Adult Education Committee. She had a servant’s heart, volunteering with Meals on Wheels as often as possible. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Betty will take place at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Friendswood Church of Christ, 2051 W Parkwood Avenue, Friendswood, Texas 77546, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 10:00 am, with Danny Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
