Obituary of Sharon Dell Jacobs

Sharon Dell Jacobs, age 68 of Webster, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard Dixon and Margie McKay. She is survived by her son, Loren Jacobs; daughter, Sherri Ramey and husband Doug; brothers, Kin King and John McKay; grandchildren, Natalie Furhman and Tyler McClain; great-grandchildren, Brody McClain and another great-grandson on the way. Sharon was affectionately known as “Nana”. She always looked forward to family get-togethers and she loved cooking for everyone. She was an animal lover who would do without before she would let any animal suffer. Sharon loved to go to Walmart with Sherri and spend the day shopping or just looking around. Sharon always looked forward to the morning ritual which was a call from Sherri just checking on her. She was always there for Loren as well, whether it was just a phone call or a conversation at the house she was always there to love, listen and support without ever passing judgment. Sharon was a hard worker and always took great pride in her job as a day care provider; especially taking care of the babies. She enjoyed good health most of her life. However, over the last several years she began to decline and had struggled with dementia and other health issues. She still enjoyed her independence and living alone but found comfort in knowing that Sherri and Loren were always there to check on her. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010, starting at 6:00pm with the family receiving friends at Clayton Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will begin a 7:00pm with Rev. Bob Joiner, of First United Methodist Church, Pearland, Texas officiating.
