Obituary of Larry Glynn Garner

Larry Glynn Garner, 73, passed away on August 29, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Gladys Garner. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Johnnie May Garner; daughter, Cindy Kimmey and her husband David of Baytown, TX.; son, Bryan Garner and his wife Melissa of Pearland, TX.; brothers, Wayne, Milton and Lonny Garner; grandchildren, James Kimmey, Amanda Moncivais and her husband Mario, and Quentin Garner. Larry was born on June 7, 1937 in Alief, Texas and has resided in Pearland all his life. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. Larry was a successful business owner in Pearland; owning Garner Cleaners for over 48 years. The business was a long time Pearland institution. Larry was affectionately known as “Paw Paw” to his grandchildren and cherished the times that he had spending with them. Larry will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. The visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Clayton Funeral Home at 5530 W. Broadway Pearland, TX 77581. The interment will follow at Southpark Cemetery. The pallbearers for the service will be Quentin Garner, James Kimmey, Mario Moncivais, Ricky Garner, David Garner, Darren Garner, Gene Bane and Jimmy Alexander.
