Obituary of Danny Edward Zeitler

Danny “Zeke” Edward Zeitler, 63, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his parents John and Phyllis Zeitler; son, Joseph Zeitler; brother, Ernie Zeitler and sister, Penny Zeitler.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 27 years, Sheila Zeitler; son, Blaise Zeitler; daughter, Danelle German and husband, Aaron; brother, Eddie Zeitler; sisters, Donna Gritt, Jayne Kleist; grandchildren, Ashley, Shelby, Kaden, Jennicka, Addison, Daileigh; great grandchildren, Cooper, Lilyanna, Brett; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Zeke was a proud veteran that served his country in the United States army from 1974 until 1995.  He was a Desert Storm Veteran before retiring from the military in 1995 as SFC E7. Zeke was an active member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He loved listening to music and especially enjoyed classic Rock and Roll.  Zeke loved the outdoors and always looked for an opportunity to get out on his motorcycle and ride for miles on end on the open road.  As a Nascar fan, Sunday afternoons were reserved for watching the great races.  He forever be remembered as a devoted husband, father and PaPa that cherished spending time with his family.  Zeke will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Zeke will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am with the funeral service following at 11:00 am with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.  Inurnment with military honors be held Wednesday, October 30. 2019 in Lane 2 at 10:45 am at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
