Obituary of Dennis Spadaccia

Dennis Spadaccia, 64, of Pearland passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.  He was born in Yorktown, New York to Raymond Spadaccia and Florence Gableman.  Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.  Left with cherished memories are his wife of 18 years, Cheryl Moore Spadaccia; son, Dominick Raymond Huff Spadaccia; sisters, Diane Lynch and Karen Spadaccia as well as other relatives and friends.

Dennis was a loving husband and father who was a wonderful provider for his family.  He loved building and racing cars throughout his lifetime.  Watching NASCAR on Sunday afternoon was one of his favorite pastimes.  Dennis enjoyed being outdoors and sailing the high seas.  He was boat guy, and was living on his Chris Kraft cabin cruiser, "The Aspiration" when he and Cheryl met.  

Dennis was very mechanically-minded and could fix just about anything.  He became a certified underwater welder which made him one of only a few select individuals that had achieved this status. He was a construction superintendent for many years, and then owned his own welding business working the oil and gas business.  Dennis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dennis and Dominick had a real love of cars. They spent countless hours looking at and talking about cars, watching races and auto auctions.  Last year they bought Dominick a 69 Corvette, which Dennis enjoyed fixing up for him.

Dennis had previously been married to Betty Slocum Hoy, and raised her two beautiful daughters, Victoria Bates and Jennifer Lambert.

A celebration of life for Dennis will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home Chapel, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will take place from 1:00 until 2:00 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm with Father Jim Courville officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, Texas.
