Please share a memory of Rosemary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rosemary Bobo of Somerford, Ohio was born on a sunny Tuesday on June 22, 1948. She was married to her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Thomas Jessie Bobo, of 53 years. She passed away at the young age of 71 in Dickinson, Texas on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 with Thomas by her side.
She is proceeded in death by her father, Richard E Kelly; mother, Dorothy Kelly; and beloved grandmother, Mabel Cook.
Rosemary devoted her life to her husband and children. Always making sure that even during the toughest of times, there was joy in the home and love in the hearts. Growing up, she had a love for the world of dance, playing piano, and violin. Even though her career took a different path, her love for the performing arts never died and continue to flourish through her grandchildren.
She was a strong lady who believed in standing up for humanity and rights. An activist for others, never reluctant to protest for what she believed in; especially if it involved children or the elderly. Active in her community, her and Thomas would plan after school activities, movie Friday’s, tend to children for those parents in need, plan holiday festivities at the community center, and provide free homework tutoring; all for the love of the children.
Left to carry on her loving memories and prayers are her husband, Thomas J. Bobo; son, Thomas R. Bobo; daughter, Joannie L. Bobo; son-in-law, Timothy Morrish; grandchildren, Thomas Bobo, Payton Bobo, and Jessica Morrish, as well as other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be announced on a later date. In memory of Rosemary’s love for children, the family has set up a memorial donation with St. Jude Children’s Hospital at the following site: http://giftfunds.stjude.org/ Gift fund name is Rosemary4Life.
