Please share a memory of Lona to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lona Zell Cole, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Edith Coe; and three brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 23 years, Loren Cole; daughter, Jennifer Gallia and husband, Glenn; sons, Steve Worsham and wife, Margaret, David Worsham and wife, Kelly; nephew/son, Terry Worsham and wife, Susie; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren; her faithful and loyal canine companion, Miss Sue, and a host of other family and dear friends. Lona was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was affectionately known as “Grammy” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she cherished spending time with. Lona was the perfect hostess and always welcomed everyone with open arms into her home. She had an artist’s heart and enjoyed painting, writing poetry, and arts and crafts. Lona had impeccable style and was always dressed and accessorized perfectly, particularly with her canine children to whom she was also devoted. She enjoyed collecting mementos (she had the amazing ability to find bargains wherever she went) and treasured all the gifts she received. She will forever be remembered for her spunky nature and her determination to remain independent her entire life. Lona will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Lona’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
