Jeffrey Samuel Layman, 50, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020. He is preceded in death by his sister, Jacquelyn Layman. Left to cherish his memory are his father, James A. Layman; mother, Martha J. Larson; brothers, James “Matt” Layman and Eric Larson; sisters, Jeri Larson and husband, Mark; Amy Taylor and husband, David; Holly Hays and husband, Danny, Deanna Patro and husband, Randy; fourteen nieces and nephews and a host of other family and dear friends. Jeffrey was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a member of his high school ROTC program. He was a hard worker and a man of great strength. He was proud of his 18+ years of sobriety and supporting so many people through his faithful involvement in AA. Jeffrey was very mechanically inclined, and his mind was always trying to figure out how things worked or how to fix them. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Jeffrey was very patriotic and loved the American eagle. He was truly an animal lover and cared for all animals. Jeffrey will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services for Jeffrey will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 pm with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm with Pastor Steve Daily officiating.
