Peggy Sue Cisnero, 48, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020. She was born on June 2, 1971 in Clewiston, Florida to George Cisnero, Jr. and Martha Farias Cisnero. She was preceded in death by her father and sister Alondra Martinez. Left with cherished memories are her one and only son, Gael Hernandez; mother and husband, Martha and Manuel Zapata; brother, George Cisnero III and wife, Miriam and brother, Domingo Cisnero and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Peggy was a very dedicated single mother who adored her son. Throughout her career, working at the American Cancer Society, for over 10 years was the job she enjoyed most. Family and friends were a huge part of her life. Her home welcomed many of us. Peggy loved traveling to the Rio Grande Valley where most of her family originated. Her most favorite pastime was spending quality time with her son. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life for Peggy Sue Cisnero will be at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 S 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 with Pastor Mike Mahon officiating. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas.
