Maude Lee Dickey, 80, of Hull, Texas passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA on December 26, 1939 to Joseph C Leteff and Myrtle Wilson. Preceding Maude in death are her parents and husband, Donald Ray Dickey, Sr.; granddaughter, Ashley and daughter-in-law, Patricia; five brothers and two sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Donald Ray Dickey, Jr., and Ronnie Vester Dickey; daughters, Louise Tanner and husband, Edward and Mintoria McKnight; three brothers and four sisters; grandchildren, Rose, Carolyn, Mary, Allen, Lisa and Kayla; great grandchildren, Hope, Christen, Ryen, Collen, Luke, Cory, Lenore and Gareth.
Maude was someone who never met a stranger and enjoyed socializing with people. She worked in laundromats most of her life, spending countless years at Pilgrims Cleaners. Her smile was infectious, she always had ways to make you smile. Maude enjoyed fishing and crabbing in her younger years as well as family beach trips and family baseball games. She loved watching westerns on tv, playing games on her tablet, going to the casino, playing bingo and scratch-offs. Her most favorite pastime was spending time with family. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A life celebration for Maude Lee Dickey will be at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 South 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571. A visitation has been set for Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 12:00 PM and the Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM also at La Porte Funeral Chapel.
