Left to cherish Clinton’s memory are his loving and devoted wife, Betty Waters, who he always called his beautiful brown eyed doll; daughter, Leona Templet and husband, Mack, son, David Waters and wife, Denise; brothers, Cletis and Harold Waters; grandchildren, Leanne, Laurie, Kristin and Ian; great grandchildren, Anna, Connor, Kinley, Kasen, Macie, Karlie and Barrett; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Clinton was a very passionate man that took pride in everything he did. He served his country by joining the United States Army in October of 1946. He was stationed in Germany and was a WWII Veteran. Clinton was employed with Shell Oil Company in Deer Park as a shift foreman. He retired after 36 years of service at the age of 58. Clinton enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, riding his John Deer tractor wearing his safari hat. He also spent time traveling and his most favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. Clinton grew up on a farm which fell on hard times. His parents moved to Pasadena looking for work. It was during this time that Clinton met the love of his life Betty Travis. They were married September 12, 1947. He loved and took great pride in his family. Clinton was a patient, kind and very giving person. He would always say “We have to stick together” meaning we need to look out for and help each other. Clinton was a humble man, that stood strong in his convictions. He was a great model of how to live one’s life. We as his family are assured that our loved one has been welcomed into His beautiful heavenly home. His kind and gentle spirit will live on in the lives of those who loved him.
