Betty Anne Greaves, 86, of Kingwood, Texas passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020. Preceding her in death are her parents. Left to cherish precious memories are her husband of 64 years, James “Jim” Greaves; sons, Ron Greaves and Mark Greaves and wife, Janet; daughter, Dawn Fink and husband, Tom; brother, Edward William Peters and wife, Barbara; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as other relatives and many friends.
Betty was very generous, donating time and money to various charities to help the poor and needy. She enjoyed being active with her children and family. Betty was an excellent nurse and an even better wife and mother. She was very spiritual and praised the Lord frequently. She was brought up in the church with her parents. Betty remained very active in the church and loved helping others which led her to choose nursing as a profession. She taught Sunday School and served 11 years as a Sunday School Supervisor. She also served on the Administrative Board of the Methodist Church. Betty organized Bible study at Country Place in Pearland. She taught Sunday School most of her adult life. Betty devoted her life to being a loyal Christian. She led by example. It was miraculous to hear her sing hymns of gospel music by memory when she was experiencing late stage Alzheimer’s. Betty will be most remembered for her dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a moral compass that kept her family on tract with her wisdom and guides. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
