Julian Buentello Jr., 82, passed away July 11, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian Buentello Sr. and Antonia Quintanilla; brothers, Adolfo Buentello, Leonardo Buentello, Raul Buentello, and Jose Arturo Buentello; and sister, Anita B. Chapa. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Elida Buentello; sons, Julian Buentello III, and wife, Colleen, Joe Buentello, and wife, Tina, and Roman Buentello, and wife, Sally; daughters, Becky Morales, and husband, Gilbert, and Christina Harris and husband, Tim; brother, Alberto Buentello Sr.; sister, Adelina Bentancourt; 24 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Julian was a veteran and served our country in the Navy. He was a loving, and devoted husband and father who called LaPorte home for the past 54 years. He was better known to those who knew him as “Chacho”. Julian enjoyed listening to Tejano music and loved to dance. He cherished time with his family, coaching his sons when they were in little league was among his favorite memories. Julian was a hard worker, and enjoyed taking time off to go fishing whether it be fresh or saltwater. He enjoyed family fish fries and barbeques. Julian was a big sports fan who enjoyed boxing, football and cheering for his hometown, Houston Astros. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private family service will be held for Julian on July 15, 2020, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland Texas, 77581.
