Obituary of Jack Fletcher Mace

Jack Fletcher Mace, age 70, passed away early Monday morning, August 3, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Charlene Mace; his first wife, Doris Ann Mace and his second wife, Leeanna Mace. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Dewey Mace; daughter, Colleen Mace; stepson, Alan Wayne Alexander Jr.; brothers, Bill and David Mace; step grandchildren, Cerinity, Jacinda, Jaxon and Levi; and a host of other family and dear friends. Jack was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that loved his family. He served his community proudly as a third-generation Police Officer. Jack also had an extensive career in iron working, plastic making and an instructor at the Houston Area Safety Council. Jack was strong in his faith and faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Jack was great with his hands and loved building and working on cars in his younger years. He was a true motorcycle junkie through and through. He enjoyed sci-fi shows such as Star Trek; and movies like the Blues Brothers and Mystery Men. Jack cherished above all spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Jack will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 South 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571. The visitation will take place Friday, August 7, 2020 from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 am in the funeral chapel with Philip Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at La Porte Cemetery in La Porte, Texas.
