Obituary of Robert Howell McGinnes

Robert Howell McGinnes, 76 of League City, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Velmo and Dora Mae McGinnes; sister, Vivian Ruth McGinnes Brashier and her husband, Joe. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane Fox McGinnes, that he met late in life and enjoyed two years of marriage; nephew, Roy Brashier of Burton Texas; nieces, Diane Honzell of Katy, Texas, Brenda Brashier of Katy, Texas and Mary Sucher of Scottsdale, Arizona; his bonus daughter, Brook Hamilton of New Braunfels, Texas; and a host of other family and dear friends. Bubba, as he was known to all his friends and family, enjoyed a successful 40-year career as a Real Estate Broker with Century 21 and Caldwell Bankers. He was very proud of his high school years spent at Allen Military Academy in Bryan. Robert developed many lasting friendships with his classmates that he stayed in contact with throughout his life. He loved piloting his own plane, being on the water in Clear Lake and traveling to warm places with beaches. Robert never lost his love for classic cars; especially the Ford T-birds. Robert passed away from complications from COVID 19. A Memorial Service will take place at a future date. The family requests that donations be made in Robert’s honor to The Houston Food Bank of the charity of your choice.
