Melissa Diane Chandler, 49 passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Russell. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Sandy Smith; step-father, Jim Smith; husband, Jamie Chandler; sons, Cody Russell, Shawn Tanner, Brandon Tanner; siblings, Scott Russell, Karen Russell, Brad Russell; grandson, Carson Russell and a host of other family and dear friends.
Melissa was full of life and loved to laugh. She loved hosting, entertaining and spending time with friends and family. Melissa enjoyed the outdoors, especially going to the beach. She was an amazing cook and loved to entertain and share her favorite recipes with others. Her signature dish was definitely her killer potato salad. Melissa cherished spending time with her grandson Carson and they made many memories together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services for Melissa will be held Thursday October 8, 2020 at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 S 3rd Street, La Porte, TX. 77571. The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM -7:00PM with the funeral service following beginning at 7:00 PM in the Chapel.
