Obituary of Gary Lee Pledger

Gary Lee Pledger, 76 of Pearland, passed away on October 11, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Betty Pledger, and daughter Holly Pledger. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Pledger; sons, Greg Pledger and wife Lisa, Chris Pledger and wife Robyn; brothers, Paul Pledger and wife J.J., David Pledger and wife Pat; sisters, Claudia Howard and husband Milton, Sharon Murdock and husband Charles, and Myra Casey; grandchildren Christy Blalock, Clint Pledger, Amber Pledger, Jared Pledger, Hayden Pledger and Dustin Pledger; great grandchildren Kade, Kole and Bella; and a host of many other family and friends. Gary loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and many of those trips turned into great adventures. Gary’s love of sports included playing catcher as well as being a spectator for not only Chris and Greg but also for his grandchildren. He was always available to help someone in need, rarely able to say “no” to anyone. Gary was an ordained Deacon at Real Life Ministries, was licensed to preach and taught Sunday School. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Visitation for Gary Pledger will be on Thursday, October 14 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, October 15 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hogg of Real Life Ministries of Pearland.
