Obituary of Romulo Caballes

Romulo Caballes, 83, passed away Friday April 30, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father Eustiquio Caballes; mother Blasa Ladonga; wife Leovigilda Caballes; brothers Carlos Caballes, Runolfo Caballes, Eddiepulo Caballes, Demostenes Caballes, Rodrigo Caballes; sisters Lorencia Bandolis, Lina Sasing, and Encarnacion Delos Santos. Left to cherish Romulo’s memory are his son, Jesus Caballes and wife, Gina; daughter, Racelli Dalida and husband, Vicente; sisters Leonora Abadilla, Vita Garcia; grandchildren, Keisha, Caprice, Remus, Vincel, Ramil, and Noelle; three great grandchildren, and a host of many other family and friends. Romulo was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had a successful career in airline cargo services with Philippine Airlines and was an excellent provider for his family. Romulo was a man of great faith who genuinely loved the Lord. He was a servant to the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ as an Intercessor and Prayer Warrior. Romulo loved being outdoors especially when tending to his garden. He had the ability to grow the most beautiful flowers and wonderful vegetables. Romulo was known to have a very “green thumb”. He was an incredibly good cook and had several specialty dishes that the family often enjoyed. Some of Romulo’s specialties were crispy pata, lechon kawali, dinuguan, humba, and peanut adobo. Romulo loved to travel whenever he could. He was also a particularly good dancer, his favorites were the Tango, Boogie, and Cha-Cha dances. Romulo will be remembered by all who knew him as a man who was exceedingly kind, compassionate and generous especially to those in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services for Romulo will be held on Saturday May 8, 2021, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Ernest Dagohoy, Pastor Elvin Fortune, and Pastor James Soy officiating.
