Nikolas Xavier Solis, age 9 of Manvel, Texas, passed away suddenly on April 9, 2008. He is survived by a loving family: his parents, Michael & Esmeralda Solis; sister, Alanna Solis; grandparents, Fernando & Violetta Villarreal and Jose & Linda Solis; great-grandparents, Elias Solis and Blanca Solis; uncles, Miguel Villarreal, Fernando Villarreal, Joey Solis & his wife Crystal, and Kristopher Solis; an aunt, Perla Sanchez & her husband John; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Nikolas was born in Houston, Texas on July 20, 1998. He was a fun-loving child who was always full of life. He enjoyed school and loved reading, one of his favorite subjects was science. He was popular among his friends and was always there to lend a helping hand. Nikolas had many pastimes but some of his favorites were swimming, going to the beach or just playing video games. He loved all animals and especially adored his dog “Shakiâ€. He was thrilled the day he was made an honorary Houston Police Officer. Nikolas took a part of us back to heaven with him, and he will remain a constant presence in our hearts until we meet again.
Visitation for Nikolas will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Clayton Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, 281-485-4446, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm by Deacon Cruz Trujillo. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 17, 2008, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581, 281-485-2421. Rev. Reginald Nesvadba will be officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
